This is an artist book that is a reinterpretation of images from an expedition I did in 2016 to Kilimanjaro with glacier scientist Douglas R. Hardy (UMass) to document the remaining Icefields on top of the mountain. The icefields on Kilimanjaro have lost more than 80% of their mass since 1900.
The book includes 18 image plates and the box measures 18".5”x26.5” (closed). The book measures 26”x36” when open.
Layout and printing on Niyodo (Washi) paper by myself, in an edition of five numbered and signed copies. Drum Leaf bound in full cloth (with cloth-covered clamshell box) by John DeMerritt in Emeryville, CA.
